Simple skeleton knife "Sikorsky"
Ihor Sikorskyi is an outstanding Ukrainian aircraft designer who has gained worldwide recognition for his innovations in the field of helicopter construction. Born in Kyiv in 1889, he has come a long way from a student polytechnic institute to an outstanding aviation engineer.
Sikorsky was a great admirer and creative researcher of Leonardo da Vinci, he saw in Vinci's work a source of inspiration and innovative ideas for his helicopters.
Studying ideas and drawings in Vinci, Sikorsky found new approaches to flight technical solutions, which he embodied in his helicopter designs.
After Sikorsky's name appeared on the banned Bolshevik lists, the famous aircraft designer fled russia into exile and eventually landed in America with little money and little prospects.
In 1923, Igor Sikorsky founded the company "Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation", which became a leader in the production of helicopters. His inventions changed the picture of the aviation industry, making the transition from fixed wings to helicopters. Sikorsky made a significant contribution to the development of helicopter technology, creating many innovative models that were distinguished by high maneuverability and economy.
His legacy lives on and is remembered.
His inventions still elect US presidents from Eisenhower to Trump.

The Sikorsky Cap, known as the Sikorsky Hat, is now on display at the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Long Island, New York, along with other interesting exhibits dedicated to the history of aviation and space.
This museum is a testament to Igor Sikorsky's great contribution to the development of aviation technology and an inexhaustible source of inspiration for future police engineers.
We named our new skeleton model "Sikorsky" in honor of the Ukrainian aircraft designer. The form retained maximum functionality and similarity with the first helicopter on which he took off and successfully landed.
